ONGOING PROGRAMS

Reconnect people with nature

  • World class Biopark

  • Capacity building at local community

  • Educational Programs

Contribute to the development of emerging conservation leaders

From: Develop programs of education for conservation in alternative learning spaces.

To: Generate and foster emerging conservation leaders.

Endangered species

From: Rescue, recovery and reinserted individuals of endangered species: Maned wolf; Marsh deer and Yellow cardinal.

To: Wild populations under conservation plans, healthy, stable and connected to their naturals ecosystems, co-existing with the local communities (one plan approach).

Ecosystems

From: One protected natural area with an efficient management plan which allowed to conserve 415% of the ecosystem.

To: Replicate the management model to create new protected natural areas in other priority ecosystems (Delta, Patagonia, grassland) and increase the surface of protected areas in Misiones.

Wildlife trafficking

From: Mitigation of the effects of wildlife trafficking jointly with law-enforcement authorities and recovery of affected individuals at the CRET (532 in 2021).

To: Build preparedness for response to significant confiscations and implement effective strategies to stop the demand.

Recover species and Restore ecosystems

  • Marsh deer and the low Paraná Delta wetlands

  • Yellow cardinal and the Espinal - Maned wolf and the grassland

  • Sharks and the Argentinean sea - Andean condor and the Andes

  • Red macaw and the Iberá National Park

  • Endemic flora and the grasslands and rainforest of Misiones

  • Patagonia frog and Huemul in the Argentinian Patagonia

Strengthen wild populations of endangered species

From: Working with 6 priority species (Maned wolf, Marsh deer, Andean condor, Red macaw and Broadnose sevengill shark).

To: Increase the number of conservation initiatives to improve the situation of the critically endangered species and broadening the outreach to work with more ecosytems, for example the Huemul, a mammal in danger of extinction and the Patagonia frog, an endemic amphibious of the Patagonia, also in critical danger.
